Voice Aerobics® trailer
52s
When patients with Parkinson's disease wanted voice practice they could do on their own at home, speech-language pathologist, Mary Spremulli, CCC-SLP, created Voice Aerobics®, a 3 part voice strengthening program that focuses on: Posture, Breathing, and Voice incorporating voice therapy exercises with movement
.
The movements are gentle and relaxing, and you are invited to pay attention to your body, breathing, and voice, and do everything to the extent that your body will allow. When used several times a week, these exercises may help to reduce cervical and upper body tension sometimes associated with voice problems.
The program is well suited for Persons with Parkinson's disease and related neurological disorders or any healthy older adult wanting to improve the use of their voice.
(Check with your physician before beginning any exercise program).
